The OFCCP Final Rule is to becomes effective on March 24, 2014. It requires you to:
- Post your EEO notice to all employees, even employees who telecommute. You may inform telecommuters by electronic notice by putting the information in a conspicuous location and format whether it is on your Intranet or if you send them to employees by email.
- As of March 24, If you use an electronic application process, you must post an electronic notice to inform job applicants of their EEO rights. In addition, in individual instances, you may also have to provide a notice of EEO rights electronically as a form of reasonable accommodation for a disabled employee, even if the employee works at your physical location.
- The OFCCP announced that it is working with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to revise the current poster, but you should use the existing poster until the new version is released. (We have attached of the current poster a copy/ It is likely that the poster will be revised to reflect the change in the terminology used to describe the veterans protected by VEVRAA. If so, we will send you an email alert with a copy of the new poster once it is released.
- The OFCCP is to announce a new form, the pre-offer disability self identification form which is supposed to be used after March 24. If this happens on schedule, it would be used along with the pre-offer race/gender/veteran self-identification form.
